حکایات دارورسن ۔ محمد الیاس گھمن

Story of religious persecution and incarceration of Mohammad Ilyas Munir Sahib in Pakistan.

It was the morning of 26th October 1984, when the Ahmadiyya mosque in Sahiwal, Pakistan was attacked by the malevolent Mullahs and their disciples. They attempted to erase the Kalima (The Islamic declaration of faith) that was inscribed on the façade of the mosque. Those invaders also endeavoured to remove the Quranic verses and the sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the mosque arches. This precarious situation compelled an Ahmadi to use his weapon. That resulted in instantaneous death of two attackers. For committing the "crime” of safeguarding the kalma, eleven members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community were charged and therefore blessed with the honour of being kept behind bars for ten years for Allah’s sake. The recollections of adversities faced by these "prisoners in the way of Allah” have been penned down by Muhammad Ilyas Munir. At the time of the attack on the mosque, Mr. Munir was serving as an Ahmadi missionary there. As a result, he was also blessed with the honour of becoming a prisoner in the way of Allah.
